Smart Reusable Easter Basket Container
I like to choose Easter baskets that can be reused after giving. When I was little, my mom always found the most fun, unusual containers for gifts. I must have gotten that idea from her!
If you’ve never been to your local Family Dollar, then I highly recommend going there today! I found so many fun containers for $1-$3 each, that it was hard to choose which ones I would use for my teen’s Easter baskets.
These cute square caddy containers were only $1 each and come in various colors. New caddy’s are just what my kids need in their bathroom too!
What to put in an Easter Basket for Teens
First of all, think technology! My teens fight the most about who has taken who’s phone charger, so I immediately went to the front of Family Dollar to shop their tech products.
Wireless Phone Chargers
I found some great wireless chargers and know my daughter will love this unicorn charger!
Adorable Plush Food Pillows
Next I found the cutest super soft, sweet treat food plushies for only $3! How cute are these? They have donuts, hot dogs, pizza and french fry mini plushies. I wanted to get all of them!

Enjoy fun new Easter Egg Hunt Ideas and the cutest Giant Easter Basket to inspire you to get creative just in time for Easter!
Creative Easter Egg Hunt Ideas and Giant Easter Basket
In partnership with Spin Master
For years, I’ve wanted to make a Giant Easter Basket out of a kid’s swimming pool and when I was asked to try the new Season 2 Hatchimals CollEGGtibles, I thought they would be the perfect goodies to put inside of my giant Easter basket! With Easter right around the corner, Hatchimals CollEGGtibles are the cutest things ever! What are they? Well, my daughter is obsessed with these adorable collectible magical creatures that come inside small, speckled eggs.
Not only do Hatchimals CollEGGtibles make for the perfect Easter Egg Hunt, they are a fantastic alternative to candy and the usual Easter basket trinkets. Your kids will love to care, nurture, and play with these cute tiny Hatchimals! They come in all kinds of packages, I especially love the cute egg cartons!
These tiny friends need love to hatch! Hold the egg in the palm of your hand, rub the heart and as it changes from purple to pink. That’s how you know it’s ready to hatch! Press down until egg cracks. Create a nest for your Hatchimals by peeling down the egg shell until you reach the wavy line.
Look at all of the fun things I got to put inside of my Giant Easter basket! There is even the most adorable play set in the shape of a large egg for your tiny creatures.
How to Make a Giant Easter Basket
This Giant Easter Basket couldn’t be easier! What a fun way to surprise your kids this year.
Get a plastic kiddie pool (less than $10) and a hula hoop. I held the hula hoop in place with a bag of rice as the weight. Then I filled the pool with pillows and a blanket.
Because my daughter has so many stuffed animals, I just took a bunch of Easter looking toys from her room and began to fill the pool. You could certainly buy new stuffed animals, but it’s just as fun for kids to find their toys having fun in the giant basket Easter morning! The main new gifts were the Hatchimals! I had so much fun making a giant Easter basket and know your kids would absolutely LOVE this.
Creative No Candy Easter Egg Hunt Idea
Even my 15 year old son loved hatching the Hatchimals ColleGGtibles. So if you are looking for an alternative to plastic eggs filled with candy, add some Hatchimals in the mix as bonus prizes to be found. Kids will go bananas trying to find them!
Now that you know what Hatchimals CollEGGtibles are, you’ll want to collect all 100+ of them! At least I know my daughter does. The aftermath of our hunt is pretty darn cute!
Be sure to check out the new Season 2 cute Hatchimals CollEGGtibles this Easter. They make adorable Easter baskets and fun Easter egg hunts for sure!

You work, you cook, you clean, you do it all. How do you reward yourself? Juggling life can be tough and as busy parents, it’s especially hard to work time in for yourself right? I’m happy to be teaming up with Ristorante by Dr. Oetker, my all-time favorite pizza company, to help us focus on some ME TIME!! This might have been one of my most fun blog posts ever as I really needed some me time.
What is your favorite thing to do when you have 10-30 minutes or a few hours of alone time?
Ristorante has a great sweepstakes titled “Love Yourself Amore” going on right now where you can win some fabulous prizes for some “Me Time”, and I’ve designed some pretty Free Printable Wall Art to hang as a reminder to take some much needed time for YOU!
I had fun carving out some “me time” this week with a few of my favorite things… wine, pizza, creating art, and catching up on my shows. Just looking at the photo makes me want to make this a regular event! I’m telling my kids there will be more mommy me time, so when they see me with headphones on and my slice of thin and crispy Pizza Speciale, they better back off. ha!
Enter to win… reward yourself for all your hard work with some much-needed Me Time!
Create your own Me Time Meme over at the Ristorante website and share it for a chance to win gift cards for house-cleaning services, landscaping, chef-prepared meals, grocery delivery and more. One lucky Grand Prize winner will receive the SERVICE OF THEIR CHOICE for one year!
