How to Make Brown Sugar Bacon Chex Party Mix
Of course, you’ll need Chex Cereal! I’m so addicted to Wheat Chex that I always have some in the house.
How to Use Bacon Safely in Chex Mix
I used bacon seasoning in place of fresh bacon. Since bacon needs to be refrigerated, I didn’t want to chance my Chex Party Mix getting soggy in the refrigerator.
If you want to use fresh bacon in your recipe, be sure to eat the Brown Sugar Bacon Chex Party Mix within two hours after cooking the bacon.
Omit fresh bacon if giving as a gift or serving at parties where it will be out for hours. Any bacon flavored seasoning will work. I found some bacon and chives seasoning at my grocery store and it turned out fabulous!
Time to make Brown Sugar Bacon Chex Party Mix!
Chex Party Mix is so easy and only takes a few steps! First mix cereals, nuts, pretzels and bagel chips together in a large bowl. Next, in a smaller glass bowl, microwave butter for about 40 seconds or until melted. Stir in seasonings and brown sugar. Pour over cereal mixture and stir until evenly coated.
I like to spread my Chex Party Mix out on a baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees for about 35-45 minutes. You can also heat it quickly in the microwave. Print the recipe below for detailed directions.
